Six Sigma - Green BeltOverview: Two modules; comprising Three days contact (face to face tuition), Tutor supported, private study distance learning. Tutor guided and marked assignment spread over three month - Fifteen days equivalent. See 'The Six Sigma Package'. Green belts are employees (the six-sigma soldiers) who spend part of their time (possibly 10% to 50%) on their allocated projects. Some organisations may set themselves a target of achieving at any one time 1% to 10% of their employees being Green belt trained and actively involved working on a six-sigma project. Their training would include a clear understanding of the DMAIC approach, theory and application, basic tools and techniques including problem solving. As a consequence of this Green belt course the delegate would be expected to have a practical knowledge of the most common tools and techniques used in their Six Sigma project. They should also be capable of running meaningful, worthwhile projects, and confidently and effectively applying the tools and techniques, to good effect, within the six-sigma team. Green Belt Course ContentTwo-day (Tutor supported)- Private Study:A pre-course study programme prior to joining the course is provided consisting of a textbook and workbook. This pre-course programme includes simple exercises to check delegate's understanding and progress. Supported by email tutor guidance. Three-days (Face to Face) course:
